The centre of a MacBook screen is about 10 cm below the camera. From there, reading notes on Zoom looks like looking down.

Open Zoom as usual
Use the Zoom desktop app or Zoom in your browser. Cuey doesn't change either.

Start Cuey above it
Press ⇧⌘V to paste your points and ⇧⌘P to start. Cuey stays above the Zoom window, under the camera.

Share a window, not the screen
When presenting in Zoom, share a single window so only that window is visible to others.
Tips that
make the difference.
Hide self view
Zoom lets you hide your own video from your screen. That removes the most distracting face on the call.
Move Zoom up
Drag the Zoom window so the speaker's face is near the top of the screen, closer to the camera.
Use speaker view to talk
A single large speaker is easier to glance at than a grid of faces.

Questions, answered
Is there a Zoom teleprompter app or plugin?+
Cuey isn't a Zoom plugin. It's a Mac app that shows your notes above any window, including Zoom. Nothing needs to be installed inside Zoom.
Can people on Zoom see my teleprompter?+
Cuey isn't part of your camera feed. When you screen share, share a single window rather than your whole desktop, so only that window is visible.
Does Cuey work with the Zoom web app?+
Yes. Cuey is a separate window, so it works with the Zoom desktop app and Zoom in a browser.
